The Charco and Botanic gardens are nice, and very much worth their tiny admissions fee - worth supporting even for more - but are not particularly dramatic - at least not now in the dry season. The Charco is one of my favorite places in San Miguel. Do not miss the beautiful greenhouse, with its dramatic display of exotic catcti and a little stream running through.
