We stayed in the ocean front building, 2 bedroom....room was run down, bathtub/shower drain barely worked. Had a couple of visitors in the room....geckos. We are at the Alexandra as I type.. arrived August 10 2008 PROBLEM!! CONSTRUCTION!! JACK HAMMER ALL DAY starting at 9am sharp. Others have mentioned that it isn't a problem, but, these jackhammers are not a faint or distant sound.. they are loud, all day long. My wife and I have stayed at this resort a total of four times, so obviously we enjoyed our stay from a value perspective. This resort is not luxiourous, but the rooms are clean and more than adequate. We have stayed in all three buildings (currently building a fourth) and would recommend two of the three, but not the oldest... more
