My husband and I spent Christmas in San Miguel and stayed at Casa Quetzal in the patio room. The small boutique hotel is perfect. Beautiful courtyard and surroundings. The photos on the hotel's web site are accurate -- no enhancements! Very clean and colorful room. TV with lots of english stations (even watched the Cowboys game one night). You can... more

I have just returned from spending my Christmas Holiday at this lovely little hotel in the middle of San Miguel de Allende. The hotel is very close to the heart of San Miguel..... short walk to Jardin and the Parroqula. The service was outstanding and all the employees were very helpful. more

We looked hard for the right place to stay for a week in San Miguel and finally settled on Casa Quetzal for its small size and central location. Both good choices as we discovered. It really is only two blocks from the colonial center, so it was easy to simply step outside and walk to plazas, restaurants or anything you... more

We have just returned from staying three nights at Casa Quetzal. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I have to say the bed in Ginger Suite was probably the most comfortable bed we have evers slept in in a hotel! Having done a trip from London to fall in to that was sheer heaven! We were out most of the... more

I felt so at home at Casa Quetzal that I extended my stay for another two nights. It was an ideal setting for me while attending painting classes at the nearby Instituto Allende because it was created with the eye of an artist. Co-owner Cynthia Price, who made her living as a professional painter for years in the U.S., makes... more

My honey moon was in dec 2003, at the karma suite, I choose the romantic package with candels , chocolates, the bed with roses petals as a heart ... it was great everything I dream for te special ocassions. The breakfeast is good with the typical homemade flavoor, bread hot, I enjoy a lot the hotel. I hope that for... more

Imagine a candle-lit courtyard and the sweet melodies of a local mariachi band. Now you are being whisked off the street to your private suite, now you are being served a home-cooked breakfast in the morning rays. This is Casa Quetzal. San Miguel is a high-desert love affair, and Casa Quetzal puts the finishing touches on the sweetest romance. more

Our Casa Quetzal experience was absolutely delightful. La Sala Suite is lovely and relaxing after a day at the Jardine, about town or out in the countryside. The staff provided exceptional service and owner, Cynthia Price, was a gracious and very helpful host. Although we enjoyed most of our meals at area restaurants, we loved having our breakfasts in the... more

Past June 2008, My wife and I wanted to spent a very nice weekend, I took the Zen room (290 Dls per night), and found it smaller than in the photographs of the website, also it was too hot in the day and in the night, and the room didn´t had A/C¡¡¡¡ so, you can imagine that all the day... more

I am very sorry that these guests had the experience that they had at Casa Quetzal. It was indeed a very hot week here then, tho all the rooms do have fans and protable air conditioning and two have a.c. so we try to make everyone as comfortable as possilble. We are not and do not have a restaurant so...

I did lots of on-line research for hotels in San Miguel de Allende, finally deciding on Casa Quetzal Hotel for several reasons. One year out from major right foot surgery I neither wanted to climb stairs or have to take long walks to get to downtown San Miguel. Casa Quetzal fit the bill perfect as the room we selected, the... more
